Your local United Way is the largest supporter of health and human service agencies in Tippecanoe County. UWGL helps to fund 23 local agencies with a focus on Basic Needs and Financial Stability, Children and Families and Health and Wellness initiatives. From disasters and trauma to diseases and disabilities, programs supported by United Way are improving lives everyday.

The American Red Cross provides relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The local chapter also teaches CPR, lifeguarding and other life-saving skills, provides free transportation for out-of-town medical appointments, and coordinates Christmas For Everyone which provides gifts for over 2,000 children every year.

Wildcat Wildlife Center is a wildlife rehabilitation center with state and federal permits to accept injured, orphaned and diseased native and migratory wildlife. They also present education programs about conservation and wildlife to local schools, churches, scout groups and other civic organizations.

The Almost Home Humane Society (formerly known as the Tippecanoe County Humane Society) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Lafayette, IN. On August 11, 1939, a group of citizens started the Tippecanoe County Humane Association to address the animal welfare situation in the Lafayette area. In August and September of 2009 we will be celebrating our 70th Anniversay as well as our 3rd Annual Awarness Week.

Leadership Lafayette prepares Greater Lafayette citizens for effective volunteer service and community leadership that will strengthen our community. Leadership Lafayette graduates serve many local non-profits that deliver essential services to individuals in need.

LTHC is a non-profit agency which provides supportive housing and opportunities for the homeless in our community.

CASAs for Kids Fund was created to support the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program in its efforts to enrich the lives of abused and neglected children in Tippecanoe County. CASA provides an invaluable service speaking up for our most vulnerable children.

The Tippecanoe Arts Federation is the umbrella organization and arts council for fourteen counties. TAF provides educational opportunities in the visual, performing, and literary arts, outreach programs for both underserved communities and at-risk youth, and funding for capital and operational expenses to fellow arts organizations region-wide. Established in 1976, the Tippecanoe Arts Federation serves as a model for arts advocacy by promoting the role of arts.

Tippecanoe County Child Care, Inc. operates 5 licensed child care centers that are directed by trained staff who are committed to providing quality care for children. Daily programming at the centers helps children feel good about themselves, enjoy life and learning, and grow as capable and caring persons.

We also operate an After School Program at Miller Elementary School and Earhart Elementary School for grades 1-5. These programs offer a variety of enrichment activities for the students of these schools on off-school hours.
